Downtown PA was no longer the same since the closure of Torrefazione. Walking in front of the shop, I notice this poster announcing the imminent opening of a premium coffee shop: Caffe del Doge.
They mention that we'll get barista straight from Venice (Italy) for the opening.
Can't wait!

Went to this Palo Alto institution this morning (late better than never), quite a few VCs in there. As a friend who just joined a VC firm reminded me the other day, "we keep on eating out in this business". Unfortunately... very true.

Great ambiance, and the best java in town: Torrefazione on University Avenue. Quite often my meeting place for a 2PM, and a double expresso.
